Patient thankful for recommended PATH® By Kaye Lindquist
This past summer I underwent two knee surgeries, and my loving daughter Jenni, Director of Giving at Salina Presbyterian Manor, talked me into going to the manor’s PATH® (Post Acute to Home) rehabilitation stay.
The therapy department is second-to-none and very professional. Staff was able to build up my strength and get me from a wheelchair to completely independent with my walker. Jodi, Ashley, and Danielle encouraged and pushed me daily to work hard so I could return home. The nursing team was so kind and compassionate, and of course I must mention my favorites Tierra, Cassandra and Olivia.
My favorite part of the whole experience was meeting the other residents that were on PATH and watching them continue to work hard and accomplish their goals. We all encouraged each other to do our best and I remember saying to myself “if they can do it, so can I.”
As my final day approached and my rehab was complete, I was overwhelmed with “tears of joy” as the staff lined up all the way down the hall to clap for my accomplishments and wish me well as I returned home.
I recommend Salina Presbyterian Manor for the great care that I received during my PATH stay.
